Founded in 1993, Jersey Cares is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing and empowering volunteers. Our mission is to address community-identified needs through impactful and rewarding volunteer initiatives. Teaming up with local nonprofits, we collaborate to identify pressing needs and execute volunteer projects that make a meaningful difference. Jersey Cares offers a diverse array of volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, corporate employees, and community groups, tackling a wide range of issue areas in New Jersey and beyond.

Jersey Cares envisions a New Jersey where every person is empowered and motivated to affect positive change toward the most pressing issues in our communities – whether addressing issues like food insecurity, access to education, homelessness, mental health, environmental conservation, or others. 

Jersey Cares is a member of the Points of Light Global Network, an innovative alliance of volunteer catalysts throughout the world.
